Perífrase "estar+gerúndio” no português brasileiro e no espanhol de Santiago do Chile: Análise dos valores aspectuais e dos contextos sintáticos

The aims of the work are investigate the aspectual values of “estar+gerund” periphrasis in eventive predicates in Brazilian Portuguese and in Santiago’s Spanish; and explain the role of different sentence elements, namely, auxiliary inflection and types of verbs, in the formation of aspectual meanings of this periphrasis in the investigated languages. For this, two tests were applied – aspectual interpretation and cloze test– to twenty-five subjects, in each investigated language. The results showed that the periphrasis conveys values of progressive, continuous, in terms of Arche (2014), habitual and universal perfect. They also showed that types of verbs were relevant in generating different aspectual meanings, especially in Portuguese; but this relevance was not confirmed in the case of the auxiliary inflection. Os objetivos do trabalho são (i) investigar os valores aspectuais da perífrase “estar+gerúndio” no português brasileiro e no espanhol de Santiago do Chile; e (ii) explicar o papel de diferentes elementos sentenciais, a saber, flexão dos auxiliares e tipos de verbo, na formação dos significados aspectuais dessa perífrase nas línguas investigadas. Para isso, foi aplicado um teste de interpretação aspectual a vinte e cinco sujeitos, em cada língua investigada. Os resultados mostraram que a perífrase veicula valores de progressivo, contínuo, nos termos de Arche (2014), habitual e perfect universal. Mostraram também que os tipos de verbo foram relevantes na geração de diferentes significados aspectuais, especialmente no português; mas essa relevância não se confirmou no caso da flexão dos auxiliares
